Bitter sweet as Turkish Coffee
Is this my star crossed love affair
Sweet and dark and tastes exotic
Rich aroma fills the air

Delicious sip can’t live without it
Deep dark mystery captivates
It lifts me up awakes my senses
Stimulates and fascinates

But oh that bitter twist beguiling
Enraptured captured I’m enthralled
Intoxicating moment’s over
A deeper mystery now calls   

I turn the cup, anticipation
My destiny it now conceals
Strange dark markings hold a secret
Enticing me to be revealed

Is that the face of my beloved?
The mountains we have yet to climb
I look again and see the valleys
The sweet reward that will be mine
